I saw a shot similar to this on the cover of a National Geographic magazine once. Or maybe it was a mountain climbing magazine?

Anyway, today was a pretty good day. I discovered a great place to get in some new shots. I've been trying to stay close to some water, as that adds a bit of texture to the surrounding landscape. This headshot was taken VERY quickly, as the rising sun didn't give me much room for error. I had about two minutes to get everything set before the angle changed and it didn't quite look the same.

I'm rather happy with the outcome. This is probably one of my favorite outdoor headshots. Ever.
