Night shot

Gerard Maas has added a photo to the pool:

Night shot

Some tricky scenes call for manual intervention. In this case, a manual exposure, combined with a high ISO value were set to correctly expose the glass construction in the background (actually, the renovated train station of Antwerp Centraal) .

Wireless flash was used to light the model in the foreground, fully relying in the E-TTL metering for the right illumination and Pocket Wizart TT5's for the triggering. The speedlite was modified with a Lastolite Ezybox 80.

The final touch to the shoot is the color balance. The halogen and sodium lamps of the background are 'cooled down' with a tungsten white balance and the flash was "gelled" with a CTO to compensate for that and deliver a nice skin tone.
