"Brainnns"

I watched a zombie movie last night, called "Dead Snow" about -get this- Nazi zombies in the Norwegian mountains. Hah!

That's where the title comes from. Sort of.

You know what this is a photo of?! My laptop motherboard. This morning, my PC wouldn't turn on. While at school, I researched the issue and the error code I was getting from the many blinking LED lights on the keyboard. Solution? "Reflowing".

This involves:
1. Disassembling the laptop completely
2. Baking the motherboard in an oven at 385 degrees
3. Reassembling

Apparently baking the motherboard allows for the solder connections to "reflow" which anneals many internal microscopic stresses and cracks that form during a laptop's life. This is not necessarily a one-and-done fix, with the computer going on to a long life. It's only shown to be effective in lasting more than a month in 60% of cases (according to a claimed retired computer tech). But for now my HP is back up and running, and I couldn't feel more awesome. Unfortunately, saving up for a new computer ASAP isn't so awesome...

A very interesting day. Thought I'd share!

What is this, a blog?
