I’m not sure how other people in the Strangers Project feel, but I find myself getting more and more selective about who I approach. Its not about if I think they’ll agree to a portrait, but more about if I see someone interesting that fits in with the environment they happen to be in at the moment – which is why I asked Amber. She had a cool look about her (she’s a colorist at a local beauty salon, which may explain it). And, there was an old orange-ish brick wall close by that worked well with her dark hair and brown eyes. So I explained the project to her, and she agreed to a portrait.
