Had the idea for this after seeing a few other folks taking shots that had firing strobes in the frame. This is pretty much what I had in mind, although I'm reminded of my limited posing skills (and how much I dislike my profile). I had another shot with a stronger blast of light on my face (and which didn't clip my elbow), but it had other issues.
Nikon D7000 w/Nikkor 50mm ƒ1.8 prime, 1/250s @ ƒ/8, ISO100. One SB-700 camera left, firing through white umbrella, 70mm zoom, 1/1.7 power; second SB-700 in my hand, built-in diffuser, 1/20 power. Color processing and crop in Aperture.
