This week's Project52 assignment is to do a set of images for a Hair Salon.
I've contacted students at a hairdressing college near me to see if any want images for their portfolio, but so far I've not had any takers. So I decided that, yet again, yours truly would need to step in as a subject.
I thought an interesting way to shoot this would be to have a set of images for a men's barbershop taken in a film noir style. Scissors, cut throat razors and hairdryers would serve as substitutes for the knives and guns of film noir.
ODC: Young at heart.
Strobist: Snooted 580EXII to camera right. Gridded 430EXII behind subject to camera left. Bare 430EXII shot through a cookie (also camera left) to create the background. Triggered by TTL cord.
