Used my new Nissin Di866 Mk2 flash with a $5 snoot/grid from eBay all controlled via my 7D in wireless E-TTL, dialed down -2 2/3 EV and easy as what a great flash for the money.
Yes you can see the grid on the wall, quite liked the effect really guessing if I moved the flash further away it might not have been so evident, but then would have lost the tightness.
All finished off with a little B&W conversion on the Mac, happy days
