Lighting design from an article by Scott Kelby. Alien Bee B800 in a 22-inch beauty dish high center. B800 in a PCB strip box low center, one stop under. B400 in a large PCB soft box directly behind model, angled at about 60 degrees and used as the backdrop.
The 85mm f/1.8D produces a characteristic magenta flare when pointed at a bright light source like this. The flare can be seen in the model's hair to the left.
