I should hear a bullet rattling in the barrel shouldn't I? Oh, there it goes…
(If you don't hear from me I'm either dead or in jail)

I've been looking for a model gun for a prop for a long, long time and never even thought of getting a pellet gun. The problem is there is writing (instructions) embossed on most of it's parts that is a real pain to take out in software. I was thinking I would have to make my own out of soap and black shoe polish until I saw this one in a local store.
In my previous shot "Devils Right Hand" I tried to hide it using shallow DOF and dim lighting but this time I played around until I could get the right "glint of steel". Self portraits like this can be very tricky - especially with a single light setup like this.
For this I used a B400 through a large strip light with grid at full power. I got the focus point right where I wanted it too.
The gun ain't loaded cuz I ain't stupid although you can't tell that by the picture. I intended this as a stock image, not as a cry for help.
Don't try this at home kids. No idiots were harmed in the taking of this photo.
