Boys won the D2 2012 Galveston event. After the weather mishap they were privileged to being filmed and commentated on the live webcast. Their surroundings and the conditions were shit to say the least but they pulled through. Watching the webcast I really got a strong sense of what perseverance they must of had. The mud, the puddles, the deteriorating fields and the heavy rain or really, really heavy rain. Reminded me of the photo Flag Raising over Iwo Jima. I had to recreate it. Originally I wanted to do Banksy's twist i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww193/pdrm141/BanksyLaFlag.jpg but the setup time and props would have proved too complicated for this impromptu shoot. Some days it's like herding cats with them. Next time.
