Calvin J. has added a photo to the pool:
Ambrose and I came to an amicable agreement to his strike demands and he was in the mood for a little camera time. It was beautiful, warm, bright sunny day outside without a cloud in the sky. Ambrose wanted to work on his tan and I wanted to test my new Singh-Ray Vari ND filter as well as practice shooting with the strobe in bright sunlight so we headed outside. This is what I would refer to as a "Win Win" situation as we were both getting something out of this activity.
With this filter it will provide the ability to shoot at f/2.8 using strobe lights in bright sunlight by allowing for reducing ambient light anywhere from 2 to 8 stops. The first shot on the left was shot at f/2.8, ND Vari filter on reducing the ambient light by 2 stops and no strobe light. The shot on the right was shot at f/2.8 and with a strobe shot through a softbox and ND Vari filter reducing the ambient light by 2 stops.
I'm very happy with the results of the filter, no discoloration nor noticeable vignetting. I'll have to figure out the change in color at the top of the shirt. I believe it's due to the sunlight that was directly above when I was shooting.
