ErwanLight has added a photo to the pool:
I've had this self-portrait sitting on my desktop for quite some time now. Also, I realized I didn't have any pictures of me on Flickr, so here is one.
I couldn't have access to any lighting gear for quite sometimes so I thought I'd play with the only flash I have.
This was sort of an experimentation. I wanted to see if it was that easy to use reflected light to lit a portrait. I was sort of disappointed by the bouncer I had, I felt the light was dimmed and very flat, so I tried to create my own with aluminium foil.
Light experts are going to scream blasphemy... but I really liked the result produced.
SInce aluminium foil isnt really.. properly flat and has an interesting relief it doesn't bounces light evenly (as opposed to a traditional bouncer). Actually it creates small "craters" of shadows. Almost as if I had put some sort of cookies in front of the light. It's barely noticeable, but it's there.
...
Anyone tried this before? I'd be curious to hear your comments and see your results produced.
