12/52 Paparrazi

Sean Kelly Aus has added a photo to the pool:

12/52 Paparrazi

This week's theme in the 52 week challenge is Paparrazi.

Can I start by saying, I really, really need to sit down for a long period of time to work out photoshop. I battled and struggled late into the evening with this, and even though I am not happy with it, I need to let it go...

Well the photography sides of things was a lot of fun because the home studio is ready to use, and this is the first shoot in it. It was great to have the lights set up and tested before a sole walked in and I could just direct the family for each of the shots. This is also good for the family to not be tripping over gear when going about their everyday normal activities in the house.

I originally was going to shoot each person individually, but this ended up being a montage of 3 shots. My 4th shot of a flash directly at the camera was to hard for me to mask out, so I found that there were flash type brushes for photoshop. (Note: knowing this fact earlier would have saved me a lot of time and money to the swear jar).

So the 3 images were group CL, group CR and the main subject. The lighting was the same for the first 2, with the addition of a strobe firing at Tegan for the main subject shot to mimic the flashes going off.

Strobist: for CL & CR group
