Wow, this picture was a REAL eye opener. 2 things - you CANNOT see smoke unless you flash it. Second, The real world waits for no photographer. I lit this chimney of charcoal and thought I would get it with smoke and fire pouring out from the bottom. That lasted for such a brief moment, and I was not ready. I am still happy with this. The food was a higher priority tonight than the picture :)
