An avocado, on its way to becoming my dinner tonight (sliced, on a nice grilled slab o' fresh bread with goat cheese, aleppo pepper, some herbs, and tomato.)
Lighting setup was fairly simple: arranged a makeshift light box with 3 pieces of white foam core board (left/top/right), with one SB-700 firing through a small soft box from camera right at 1/6.4 power, and another SB-700 bounced off the "ceiling" of the light box at 1/2.5 power, 120mm zoom.
Nikon D7000 w/Nikkor 18-200mm @ 200mm, 1/180s @ ƒ/22 (-1.0ev, for some reason), ISO100. Lighting as described above. Cropped and adjusted color a bit in Aperture, but pretty close to straight out of camera otherwise.
(Yes, the shutter probably should have been 1/250s, but I must have nudged the control inadvertently. Room lighting didn't really contribute anything to the shot regardless.)
