GaryDChapman has added a photo to the pool:

Tried something new... and failed.

I attempted to do a portrait of Laura with my 50mm f1.8 but take multiple exposures of her and the location and then blending them together to make a wide angle shot with a shallow dof...

It kind of did work and I'm sure the technique could be utilised well for the right image. The problem I had is I didn't get enough coverage of the floor so it meant I had to cut Laura's feet off which added to the impression that she was just pasted onto the landscape because the depth of field was so shallow.

This is a crop from the final image... The whole thing is in the comments. (Just noticed that although it's proportioned correct on my mac at work it squashes the image in the comments)

I'm hoping I'll have time to shoot a funny photoshopped image tomorrow, fingers crossed it goes well and gets me feeling better about my work again... been a while since I produced anything of note :-(

Strobist: 1 x YN460ii to right of model in a gridded octobox. (removed for wide shot)
