I had an idea for the book I have to do for my future study in photography.
So, I put a tray up my bath with in each side two lights (protected by plastic bags) : led-flash SGSII and glow lamp. I let go an ice in the cup full of water.
That's the result ! You can do it and no need to have expensive flash. (but it's clearly better !)
