Ryan J Weiss has added a video to the pool:
YOUTUBE - youtu.be/PfB_mtup1Lg?hd=1
The first in a series of videos demonstrating how small, "speedlight" flashes can be used to dramatically light large environments. Our first location is a large cemetery. The video show's our lighting setup and a before and after comparison.
I waited until later in the day, just as the sun had went down, so I could work with an ambient light level that wouldn't overpower my Nikon SB-28 flashes. My camera's white balance was set to 4000K to exaggerate the blue tone of the already cold, overcast sky. Each flash was used without any modifiers other than a 1/2 CTO gel (Camera Right) and a 1/4 CTO gel (Camera Left). After lighting the photo, a basic color curve was added in Photoshop CS5.
