Catch-light has added a photo to the pool:
Day 2 Cora's down for a visit and she was telling me about how she has been working on this new Floating Magic Lamp of some sorts and she wanted to show me what it was all about.
Im always into magic stuff and a new lamp would look good in my office. I knew i had to catch this on photo mode so i set up my tripod and Cora told me to stand back and low and behold there it was... her magic lamp floating in mid air.. You could see her look of concentration and then 4 seconds later the room suddenly burst into this burning glow of purple and the magic lamp blew up without warning. .....dont worry we are all ok but lets just say theres no more Magic Floating lamp --its Kaput
Specs..Sb-800 Flash gelled purple behind the lamp 1/2 power fired off at start of exposure via nikons CLS--The lamp is actually floating in mid air i tied it with a black string and taped it to the ceiling to get that effect --after the flash went i did the little bit of yellow with a flashlight on coras left arm and shoulder to add some depth after that was done i did all the blue magic flakes floating out of the lamp and the orange you see in the background is from the kitchen window light spilling in from outside ---
